  • 101 Main St Cambridge, MA 02142, USA - Cambridge
Signpost holding "Trucks use left lane" and "Speed limit 25" at the approach of the Longfellow Bridge has snapped at its base.
  • Signal timing Archived
1-11 Grove St Belmont, MA, 02478, USA - Belmont

During light traffic (e.g. overnight) when only a single vehicle waits at the loop wire on Grove Street southbound, the traffic signal often displays a green light for as little as one second before turning yellow.

One second often isn't enough time for a driver to move his or her foot from the brake to the accelerator, or a cyclist at rest to get back on the pedals.

  • 759 Huron Ave Cambridge, MA 02138, USA - Cambridge
The Huron Avenue sidewalk itself is in Cambridge but the abutter is the Belmont Cemetery; neither municipality seems to be taking responsibility.
  • Concord Ave Opp Sancta Maria Hospital Cambridge, MA 02138, USA - Cambridge
The sidewalk and bike path have been sufficiently cleared but a clear path is needed to board the bus.
  • 100 Tremont St Boston, MA 02108, USA - Central

Tremont Street's left lane is a travel lane, with posted "No stopping any time" signs. This holiday season's installation of wreaths obstructs many of these signs.

As my request comes after Christmas day, I suggest an early removal of these wreaths, and to have guidelines in place for future years.

  • Broadway At Third St Cambridge, Massachusetts - East Cambridge
When Broadway was reduced to one lane westbound at the intersection, the "No turn on red" sign was temporarily installed backwards to ease congestion during construction. Now that both the right-turn and through lanes are open, this sign should be flipped around and installed correctly.
  • 213 Brattle Street Cambridge, Massachusetts - West Cambridge
I've mentioned previous issues with weeds surrounding this tree in ticket #2634503, archived from two years ago. The sucker growth has returned, extending into the roadway and bike lane again.
  • 361 Rindge Ave Cambridge, MA 02140, USA - North Cambridge
Would it be possible to schedule a street cleaning for the Russell Field parking lot? There's an accumulation of sand and salt from winters past.
  • Closed Crosswalks Acknowledged
500 - 600 Congress St boston, Massachusetts - South Boston

When the crosswalk at the intersection of Congress Street and Seaport Lane was closed for construction, a temporary one was created near the Seaport Hotel garage and WTC station entrance. This one has now been closed without Seaport Lane being reopened.

The distance to walk legally from WTC station to Waterside Place next-door is now nearly a third of a mile. This is unacceptable.

  • 0 - 135 Cambridge Street Charlestown Massachusetts - Charlestown

Lane markings on Cambridge Street are faded. As a consequence, cars are constantly driving through the bike lanes instead of keeping to a single lane. The crosswalks are also fading.

The city limits of Boston have three different streets known as Cambridge Street. To be completely clear, this is the Cambridge Street in Charlestown that becomes Washington Street once it crosses the Somerville city line.

  • 260-270 Beacham St Chelsea, Massachusetts - Chelsea

There are no signs along Beacham Street identifying the city line between Everett and Chelsea.

Chelsea has adopted the 25mph speed ordinance, i.e. 25 unless otherwise posted. The first speed limit sign should be installed at the city line, however no signs facing eastbound traffic exist until the 30mph sign near 230 Williams St, and no mention of the 25 ordinance exists until 174 Williams St.

  • 62-86 Alford St Boston, MA 02129, USA - Charlestown
The shoulders and bike lanes of Alford Street are plagued with salt, sand, gravel, and construction debris. Please take responsibility for street cleaning within the Boston city limits, as the Everett city line is just past Dexter Street. This stretch should be swept at least once a week. The photo included is from the Alford Street bridge
  • 741-777 Huron Ave Cambridge, MA 02138, USA - Cambridge
Huron Avenue had a 25 mph speed limit prior to the city ordinance. The town of Belmont now also has a 25 mph speed ordinance, thus making the "End speed zone" sign not just unnecessary but also misinformative. Removal of this sign would also increase visibility of the stop sign at the corner of Grove Street.
  • 83-85 Brattle St Cambridge, MA 02138, USA - West Cambridge
entire westbound bike lane obstructed by snow mound, forcing traffic across solid yellow line
  • Pothole Archived
670 Huron Ave Cambridge, MA 02138, USA - Cambridge
Please patch this pothole. There's also a significant amount of sand, gravel, tree limbs and other debris pictured on the street, but there is no scheduled street cleaning on Huron for another seven weeks.
  • Pothole Archived
    387 Harvard St Cambridge, MA 02138, USA - Mid-Cambridge
Rectangular shaped pothole at the corner of Ware and Harvard Street, easily struck when turning.
  • Pothole Archived
94 Larchwood Dr Cambridge, MA 02138, USA - West Cambridge
Potholes in this location have been present for some time, but were less visible with snow cover on Christmas morning.
  • Pothole Archived
741-777 Huron Ave Cambridge, MA 02138, USA - Belmont

Rather large pothole on Huron Ave westbound near Belmont line. Intersects lane position for cyclists suggested by the sharrows.

Please also remove the "End Speed Zone" sign nearby as 25mph ordinances are now in effect in both Belmont and Cambridge.

  • 5 Upland Rd Cambridge Ma 02140 - Neighborhood 9

New cement installed. Cement has already set, but the existing racks are now gone. Racks that are bolted down instead of planted in set cement are less secure.

Update February 8 2018: Eight months later and still no replacement racks.

  • Concord Ave At Fawcett St Cambridge, Massachusetts - Belmont

I noticed a pedestrian earlier today who pushed the button on the south sidewalk and was getting no response. I was on the opposite side waiting in the westbound bike lane for over a minute, then rode onto the north sidewalk to push the other button, which responded immediately.

I see there's also an issue reported hours ago for another crosswalk at Fresh Pond & Lakeview.
